Firefox Not Responding

While using Firefox in Ubuntu 11.04, I faced a problem that when I start Firefox, the following error message shows up

 “Firefox already running or not responding”

What I did was  :

1. Remove Firefox using Synaptic Package Manager

2. Remove contents in  ~/.mozilla using rm -rf *

3. Now Again Install Firefox from Synaptic Package Manager

This corrected the above problem for me.
